Foursquare Day - Monday, April 16th 2012
Canandaigua Downtown Merchants are excited to join Canandaigua Foursquare Day, which is Monday, April 16th, 2012. Locals and tourists are encouraged to visit local shops, boutiques, galleries, and restaurants that day and check in with their Foursquare accounts.
During the day specials and offers come alive including demonstrations, food tastings, and more, including free soap samples at Wick-edly Sent Soap and Candle Company, drink specials at Pickering Pub, a special oil and vinegar combo at F. Olivers, and storewide chocolate specials at Sweet Expressions. Many more merchants will post their own special offers during the day on Foursquare.
A Foursquare Day party will end the day long celebration at Simply Crepes between 5:00-6:00pm, where there will be crepe demonstrations, hors d’oeuvres, and tastings from Bellwether Hard Cider. Foursquare users can also earn a coveted Swarm Badge with a drawing for a prize during the party! Foursquare users are encouraged to unlock badges, earned by checking into local businesses; badges range from Newbie, Local, Adventurer, Explorer, and more.
About Foursquare Day: Foursquare Day is held every year on April 16th. A grass roots event started by Tampa Bay fans of foursquare in 2010, it quickly spread to communities all over the world. Foursquare Day is celebrated differently in each community.
Foursquare is a location-based social networking website for mobile devices, such as smartphones. Users “check in” at venues using a mobile website, text messaging or other devices by selecting from a list of venues the application locates nearby.

Are you looking for an easy fundraiser for your organization, group or charity? Then host a FUNDay Monday at simply Crêpes! We’ll do all the cooking, serving and cleaning. All you have to do is invite your friends and supporters to come on your FUNDay Monday, mention your group or cause, and you’ll receive 10% of their guest check. And they can order anything they like right off the menu knowing a portion of the proceeds are going to your cause.
